PHOTO PROVIDEDIn preparation for its move to Lock Haven’s Clinton Plaza, Smith Furniture Store is currently holding sales to decrease its inventory prior to the transition.

MILL HALL — Smith Furniture is moving from their current location next to Calico Creek in Mill Hall to the Clinton Plaza — next to the Fine Wine and Spirits store — in Lock Haven.

As a result of this move, they’ve been having huge sales on their inventory — between 50-65 percent off — on any furniture you may need for your living room, family room, bedroom, dining room and more.

According to Jim Smith, owner, they’ve seen a record number of traffic in and out of the showroom with the recent sales.

“Last Friday, (Feb. 2) was the busiest day in our history at any location. That Saturday was almost as busy. People don’t want to miss our sales — there’s big savings on a lot,” said Smith.

Smith Furniture offers deals on sectionals, sleeper sofas, sofas, love seats, chairs and ottomans, mattress and box springs, beds, bedroom suites, coffee tables, side tables, lamps, floral arrangements and pictures.

They plan to close their current location on Tuesday, Feb. 20, in order to complete their move across town — so come get these deals while you can!

Their expected opening date for their new location is Feb. 26, and for all of February they’re holding huge sales on furniture.

This move will be only temporary. Ultimately, Smith Furniture will be moving once again in the fall of this year — back to their original home base.

In late 2020, a devastating storm caused the roof of Smith Furniture in Dunnstown to collapse under the weight of the snow. The store had been at that location for over 75 years at that point, having first opened its doors in 1948.

Construction has already begun on that lot to rebuild the showroom.

Their hours are currently Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at their location at 2969 Eagle Valley Road, Mill Hall.
